1.2 A Robot’s Love

Xenia had been working so hard on Plumbotics the whole week that I have her two days off during the weekend. She hung out with Sasha Nugget, a fellow time traveler as I understand. She hit it off with Sasha. They became fast friends! She hasn’t really been socializing a lot, I’m to blame.

After seeing Sasha, Xenia visited the nightclub. It was underwhelming and empty..

While Xenia was sleeping, Robot From The Future got abducted by aliens. She didn’t quite like it. Poor her, she hasn’t had a great start to her life. She has had to endure Xenia’s endless trait chip tests…

Robot From The Future really enjoys it when Xenia checks up on her. She seems to be ticklish; she always giggles when Xenia pokes her with the weird tool. This Plumbot is a philanthropist; she’s always going around giving full body massages to everybody. I was planning to sell her but now I’m not so sure.

RFTF (we shall now refer to her as such) took a liking to a fellow Plumbot. While I wasn’t looking, she developed a huge crush on him (or her?) all on her own. The other Plumbot doesn’t have the Romance trait chip installed so he’s always turning down RFTF’s advances. That doesn’t seem to bother RFTF the least. When I’m not controlling her, she’s always running to find her crush… So adorable.

There’s an interaction to ‘download true feelings’. When RFTF did that he seemed to like it. He just needs to have the Romance chip installed.

Xenia advanced fast in Plumbotics. She was now able to make more complex trait chips, such as ‘Work Machine’. The more she advanced the more mistakes she kept making. I’m so glad it doesn’t consume the materials… Nanites are hard to come by.

It was fall in Oasis Landing. All the crystal flowers were hibernating but Xenia found one still surviving. We need those crystals for trait chips. It’s too bad it takes ages to load them with emotions.

I’ll call him Guy until I remember his real name.

One morning after breakfast Xenia founda shirtless Guy in the dorms. They chatted the morning away and became friends. Now, Guy was more open to Xenia’s flirting. Xenia tried to kiss him but he turned her down. And I tried that only because she had a wish to do so. Well, at least he’s fine with romantic hugs and massages. Good for you, Xenia.

Xenia was running out of money so we decided it was time to go back home with RFTF. One rainy night, they activated the time portal and stepped in. Xenia hadn’t been home in half a year.

RFTF was really curious about ye olden times. She wandered around marveling at the furniture. While Xenia slept, exhausted from time-travel, RFTF projected her crush’s hologram and chatted with him. Xenia really needs to install the Romance chip for him. I think RFTF is a bit depressed that her love isn’t able to reciprocate her feelings.

It feels weird to be back in the regular Simworld. I realised cooking is such a pain. In the future you can just synthetize food in great quality too. The beds are worse. Everything is more difficult in this day.

I think this expansion is great. It really manages to grab the essence of what time travel can be and the differences between the two eras are noticeable even to the player. These are all the screenies I have for now, I’ll be posting more as I play! The first two seasons in Oasis Landing are over, but after Xenia and RFTF have earned enough money from their part time jobs, we’ll go back!
